Expertise
As a tax advisor and business graduate working for ROSE & PARTNER in Germany, I specialise in VAT law and international tax law.
I advise internationally active companies, entrepreneurs and private individuals in German and English. For international business activities, I offer comprehensive tax advice on VAT and international tax law. This includes advice on double taxation agreements, relocation, establishment of permanent establishments and also aspects of international employee deployment with the associated taxation issues abroad and at home.
I am also available as an expert for individual advisory enquiries or projects.
Often, VAT issues, especially when they are part of contract negotiations with customers and suppliers, require advice in almost ‘real time’. I am pleased to provide this.
When providing advice, I can draw directly on my many years of experience as a senior in-house tax advisor for a family-owned international engineering group. I advise from practice for practice.
Career
After studying business administration and starting my career at a Big4 in the area of corporate tax and high net worth individuals, I held various positions at Next10 law firms and industrial companies in Germany. As an interim VAT manager, I was able to gain insights into a DAX company as part of a one-year parental leave replacement. The common thread running through my professional life is my preference for difficult (VAT) tax law issues. I have advised a wide range of clients, primarily internationally active industrial companies, but also pharmaceutical companies, non-profit organisations and public corporations. In some cases, I acted as a specialist in the context of individual VAT issues, in particular in international chain transactions with a project reference, in addition to my traditional consultancy work. As a dedicated VAT advisor, I have supervised special VAT audits, objection proceedings and legal proceedings.
Since 2022, I have been working as Head of Tax in an internationally active family business in the industrial engineering sector. Since 2025 I have been responsible for the area of VAT law at ROSE & PARTNER.
Private
Besides my family and my dog, I am passionate about endurance sports, both passive and active. You can find me at indoor rowing competitions, where I (sometimes successfully) try to beat the ‘real’ rowers on the ergometer.
