Expertise and activity

Attorney Alleyne practices corporate law and copyright law at our offices in Hamburg and Berlin.

As a certified specialist for commercial and corporate law, he advises company founders and start-ups as well as investors on the initiation and implementation of financing measures and on the execution of M&A transactions in Germany. In this context, a particular focus is on the structuring of employee participation models as well as on advising on liability risks of managing directors.

Attorney Alleyne advises and represents medium-sized companies and their shareholders in the drafting of articles of association, in reorganization processes and M&A transactions, as well as in extrajudicial and judicial shareholder disputes in Germany.

As a certified specialist for copyright and media law, his clients include research institutions, software companies as well as companies in the creative industry, artists, authors, musicians and actors. Here, the main focus of his work is on advising and representing clients in all matters relating to software development and use, as well as artists' contracts and the enforcement of rights to works of visual art and film works.

In doing so, Attorney Alleyne is often active in cross-border and international contexts, in which he benefits from his fluent knowledge of the English language.

He is a member of the Hamburg Bar Association, the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright and the Licensing Executives Society, German National Group.

Jascha Alleyne is an active member of the "Hamburgischer Anwaltverein e.V. (HAV)", the "Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht e.V. (GRUR)" and the "Licensing Executives Society Deutsche Landesgruppe e.V. (LES Germany)".

    Career

After completing his studies at the Leibniz College in Tübingen, Jascha Alleyne studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Hamburg. Subsequently, he obtained a Master's degree in European and International Law (LL.M. Eur.) at the University of Bremen. At the same time, he was a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Udo Reifner at the Institute for Financial Services (IFF), Hamburg. He completed his legal clerkship in Lübeck, Hamburg and Florence.

As a lawyer, Mr. Alleyne initially worked in a Hamburg law firm specializing in banking law, and soon thereafter founded a firm specializing in commercial law together with other partners, where he was involved in extensive corporate and licensing law projects from the very beginning. After an interim partnership in a Germany-wide partnership with a focus on German insolvency law, Attorney Alleyne spun off from there with other partners into another German business law firm, before joining ROSE & PARTNER.

    Private

His favorite pastime is spending time with his children. Following the advice of his Heidelberg professor that practicing law without creative compensation can lead to mental confusion, he is the singer and guitarist in a three-piece rock band. In between, he runs, swims and likes hitting the gym.
