Dr. Jan-Eike Andresen is a German lawyer and works in our offices in Hamburg and Frankfurt a.M. He speaks English, Spanish and German and is familiar with international transactions, cross-border claims and foreign investments into Germany.
Jan-Eike specializes in German corporate law, in particular M&A and venture capital. In addition, he advises companies, their management, and shareholders on white-collar crime aspects in Germany.
Jan-Eike also has proven experience in German and international banking and finance law issues. He advises on standard credit facilities in Germany as well as specialty finance such as project and acquisition financing, private debt, venture debt, non-performing loans and litigation finance. His clients include banks, funds, asset managers as well as medium-sized companies and start-ups from Germany and abroad.
Jan-Eike was voted one of the 40 most important German lawyers under the age of 40 ("Top 40 under 40") by the legal journal JUVE in 2019.
Jan-Eike has advised on many lawsuits that are among the central "pioneering works" in the German legal system, some of which were the subject of decisions by the German Federal Court of Justice, such as large class actions in Germany (myRight diesel scandal class action and Financialright cartel class action for more than EUR 1.5 billion) or the first major settlement between consumers and a company following a data protection incident ("Mastercard").
